I also enjoyed this book by Sharon Creech. I taught in the boarding school where this story is set. Ms. Creech does an excellent and accurate job of describing what such a school is like. The experience really does draw teenagers together from diverse cultures, as she shows in the book. I found the depiction of Mrs. Stirling to be very entertaining and humorous, mostly because it is so very accurate.
