Has anyone read any of the books by Maureen Hollohan? She is a former high school and college athlete and journalism major who decided to write about girls and sports (fiction) I think the series is called the Broadway ballplayers. Each book highlights a different girl and sport although the same group is in each. There is usually another problem to deal with in the book.
From my point of view these are unique in they deal with girls who like to play. There is action and personal relationships. The books are published by Maureen Hollohan who could not find a major publisher to publish them. I think they fill a real need for the middle school and upper elementary girl who likes sports.
