I'm looking forward to hearing of early readers suggested. I have a very hard time trying to find any.
A picture book favorite for us was Casey at the Bat by Ernest Lawrence Thayer and illustrated by Patricia Polacco. The familiar rhyme in a Little League setting was fun. It's easy to read over and over.
It would be nice to find a good story that involves sports that a young reader wants to read himself.
