I have had great success reading The Batboy and His Violin by Gavin Curtis to the early grades. It is about a musical prodigy and his father's Negro league baseball team. The illustrations by E.B. Lewis are very evocative. Christine M. Hill Willingboro Public Library One Salem Road Willingboro, NJ 08046 chill at willingboro.org
