The Waukesha County Federated Library System held its 5th annual Mock Newbery/Caldecott Discussion & Election last Friday. "Bat 6" was our winner with honorable mentions to "Holes" and "Whirligig". The Mock Caldecott was awarded to "This Land is Your Land" by Guthrie, illustrated by Kathy Jakobsen, with honors to "Doodle Dandies:poems that take shape" by Lewis,illustrated by Lisa Desimini, "Lucy Dove" by Del Negro, Leonid Gore illustrator, "Old Jake's Skirts" by Scott, David Slonim illustrator, and "The Golden Sandal" by Hickox, Will Hillenbrand illustrator.
