Does anyone else have other new favorites for any age for any reason?

We're open right now for Favorites and General Announcements.

On January 4, I'll introduce our new discussion which will be about Sports Literature for Children and Young Adults. If you're looking for something to read over the weekend, find Sue Macy's Winning Ways: A Photohistory of American Women in Sports (Henry Holt, 1996) or Macy's earlier book A Whole New Ball Game: The Story of the All - American Girls Professional Baseball League (Henry Holt, 1993) or Black Diamond: The Story of the Negro Baseball Leagues (Scholastic, 1994). We'll be referring to these books and many others during January.

Was any memorable sports literature published for children or young adults during 1998?

If you're "out there," during this so?lled "holiday week," which new books do you want to bring to our collective attention?

Cheers, Ginny
