My favorite book of the year is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J. K. Rowling. My two sons, ages 10 and 12, borrowed a preview copy this summer from a bookstore friend and read it a combined number of three times. Then they asked me to read it aloud to them in October when they were home sick from school. Now we are reading it aloud again over cereal at breakfast every morning! We were given one copy (signed by Ms. Rowling!) that we are wearing out...
My favorite holiday book this year is Olive, the Other Reindeer (I'm sorry, I don't know the author). I stood laughing in the bookstore and had to pick up a copy.
