I would like to second _Martha Graham_ as one of the best non-fiction books of the year. The clarity of the writing gave me the living, breathing, fallible, imperfect genius of Martha Graham. I also want to commend the book design. After recently reading a run of non-fiction books with poor choices in illustration, typography and photograph placement, _Martha Graham_ was refreshing in its design's invisibility, seamlessness and spark. Ending the book with not-well-known photographs of Graham dancing left me with the image she wanted to be remembered by, as a dancer not a choreographer.
