Help!

A friend of mine has an adult son, Tim Traver, who is an incredibly creative and unusual artist. Tim is developmentally disabled and so does not have the wherewithal to do much self-promotion. He draws and paints fantastic animals/creatures and gives them interesting names, and has recently put the drawings together with a story (which I have not yet read). His mom asked me if I had any suggestions for getting his work printed/published/distributed.... so I'm looking for ideas about 1. publishers who might be interested 2. possible grant sources for him to self-publish and distribute his work 3. any other ideas that could assist in his work reaching a wider audience. His work is of a caliber and uniqueness that I am taking your time with this bit of advocacy on his behalf. Thank you.
