Hello, all. I found out about ccbc-net when I attended the CLNE conference in August, and have been happily lurking since then. I'm a Canadian children's librarian who has relocated to Miami, and so I rely on my trusty electronic connections to stay in touch with the children's book world. I do a fair bit of freelance writing and reviewing, and edit the online children's literature quarterly, The Looking Glass: New Perspectives on Children's Books
(www.fis.utoronto.ca/~easun/looking_glass/). If you haven't already discovered it, you may wish to check it out. Subscription is free. We have columns on text, design and illustration, innovative children's literature projects, recipes, gossip and much, much more. We even offer a killer double acrostic. There is also a refereed section, called Alice's Academy, which has so far looked at Alice illustrations around the world, Ladybird books and Anne Fine's gender?nder, Bill's New Frock. Your contributions are always welcome. We're looking for a column editor for Jabberwocky, the translation column, so please contact me if you would be interested in writing and/or finding articles on translation (in the broadest sense).

I look forward to the November ccbc-net discussion, and hope to meet some of you through The Looking Glass.
