Speaking of non-linear, the author, artist, and illustrator Tomie dePaola, whose career diverges in many directions, is visiting Pooh Corner bookstore in Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday, November 21.

On tour promoting what I believe is his 208th published children's book,
(wow!) Big Anthony: His Story, reveals some of Big Anthony's bumbling escapades prior to appearing in Strega Nona. Personally, I like how many of dePaola's book, separate in their own right, together form a grander, more linear tale.
