Regarding the multiple points of view--I'd like to say that, for me, this detached, unconnected approach in Making Up Megaboy worked. Fitting the title, none of the "voices" in the story knew Robbie at all--they were making him up. They saw his death as a way to get something for themselves-?me, money for the comic he had drawn Tara, etc. The college students I shared it with agreed that this was what made it so powerful--and so like the tragedies we read about in the paper. I also like the way Gail Carson Levine brought in other points of view via the magic book in Ella Enchanted. That worked for that story to let us see what others were thinking. I'm enjoying the discussion! Kathy Rogers Mt. St. Mary's College
