Just as a point of information, the Kirkus and Bulletin reviews of Arlene were quite positive. The only negative review I've seen was the one from Booklist, so all things considered, the response has been quite good. It has certainly been getting a tremendous amount of press on the listservs, much of it positive.
Does anyone know what SLJ or Horn Book had to say?
