Older Non-linears

I'm not sure if the older books that come to mind as non-linear are really that or are just from multiple points of view (next month's focus). Some titles that come to mind: Thirteen by Remy Charlip, A Hero Ain't Nothin but a Sandwich and Rainbow Jordan by Alice Childress, Figgs & Phantoms by Ellen Raskin. And how about, Virginia Hamilton's Sweet Whisper's Brother Rush or Arilla SunDown?

It may be that more of this type of book is a reflection of bookmaking technologies now available and the effect of electronic technologies on our thinking but there has been a consistent group of experimenters in form and style in the children's book world.

I think Eliza Dresang made a good point when whe talked about the books using nonlinear forms but overall being linear stories.
