Would you mind taking this comment a step further? I find the book intriguing and provocative - it's made me ponder. I felt Robbie's voice was certainly present in the book behind many of the other voices and present in his creation of "Megaboy." But I wondered if perhaps one thing the 14-year-old might have been suggesting was that, as you said, the sad fact is that many kids share Robbie's problem. How then are we to account for the extremity of his response? Since I tend to want to perceive creativity and imagination as healing forces, I'd be interested too in knowing how the book's creators perceive the role of Megaboy in Robbie's life and the character's connection to Robbie's eventual action.
