Let's go to Jan Ormerod's new book "Who's Whose?" (U.S. ed. Lothrop, 1998) when
(gmkruse at ccbc.soemadison.wisc.edu)
This book made my heart sing. What delighted me most about it was its emphasis on the latticework that most families with children rely upon: friends, neighbors, relatives, who make daily life happen. I loved how the captions and the pictures didn't always match up (one about the girls doing homework showed them playing with makeup). You could straighten out the families by hair color, etc. if you needed to, but it was more fun to bounce around to see what everyone was doing. I reviewed this for Booklist, and recommended a star. I am curious to see if anyone has used this with children, and how it worked. GraceAnne
