Just had to share this. My youngest kid (12 years old) read Holes, and really liked it. However, he complained, "it's not at all realistic. Couldn't happen. I mean, a lawyer spends 9 hours in a car, and then comes back the next day? Nine MORE hours in the car? For free?"
