This is a response to John Peter's earlier comment about plot. I am reminded of a line from the movie "Harold and Maude," when Harold says to Maude, "You like people, don't you?" and she replies, "Yes, they're my species." I think that explains our need for stories, whether in fiction, nonfiction, or reviews. A little plot summary in a review can be deftly woven into other considerations, such as how the pictures tell the story too.
