Are there letters surviving from the other side of the correspondence? It would have been interesting to hear how Miednert DeJong expressed his depression, how did Ruth Krauss respond to UN about changes in _A hole is to dig_. (I always assumed the DeJong was , for some reason, a woman so this was a shock to my preconceived ideas!~)
