Do let's get back to the book. Each time that I've read it, I'm awed again with Leonard Marcus' introduction; it's a masterful piece of writing. With great eclat he has given us the context in which to view the letters. It is as much the introduction as the letters themselves that generate the excitment which we are all feeling.
