I have greatly enjoyed the discussion about Cynthia Rylant's work. I hope you will not mind me throwing in a qucik question that does not regard her...I believe you may find it as interesting as I did...
Yesterday, in my local newpaper, The Birmingham News, a small obituary caught my attention. It told of the death of Kay Thompson. Many of you will recognize Ms. Thompson as the author of the Eloise books. She led a full life...94 years old at her time of death...and made her mark on the world of children's literature.
It was stated by her attorney that they were unsure where she was when she died...either at a local hospital or at the apartment of her goddaughter, LIZA MINNELLI. I never knew that she was linked to the talented performer in this way. I couldn't believe the connection...does anybody know any more details? My friend suggested that there might be TWO Liza's...surley not! Not with that spelling...
Thanks for indulging me...please e-mail directly to me so I don't take away any more time from the Rylant discussion.
