Thank you for all of your insights into Cythia Rylant's short stories, as well as her novels, especially The Islander. If you have additional comments to make on these books, please continue to do so.
In the meantime, we haven't touched much upon Rylant's books of poetry, Waiting to Waltz: A Childhood, Soda Jerk, and Something Permanent. Why don't we begin the week by looking at these collections. What do you appreciate about them? What do children appreciate about them?
