It's just one way of thinking about a book. Which is why it's really a pleasure to get to think and talk about the same books in a different way, here. These questions will always be with us though; and questions of classification I think sometimes help us (help me, at least) to dig around and get at just what it is about a book that's stupendous. In examining how a particular book doesn't fit genre after genre, it's uniqueness rises to the surface.
