I tried to find this book in my library system last night. I live in an older suburb right outside of Washington, D.C., which has a large, well-supported library system with excellent children's and YA librarians, many of whom have served on the Newbery and the Caldecott committees. The entire system has a total of one copy of the book, which is filed with the adult fiction. (It was out, of course.) I have no idea why the YA people chose not to buy the book or why it was filed in this way, but am very curious as to how other libraries are classifying it.
