An award winner I find humorous in spite of the sad parts of the story, is Walk Two Moons, by Sharon Creech. The language of Gramps and the conversations between Gramps and Gram are delightful and heart warming. Their descriptions of the places they travel to and the situations they get into are very funny. Madison is seen as a place where it looks as if everyone is on vacation. Sharon Creech's other books have the same type of gentle, family humor. Her books don't provoke the deep belly laughs of some that have been discussed, but rather provide the small chuckles that make you feel good all over.
