Okay, now that we've taken the reading level up a notch, I'll chime in again. I am presently reading aloud to 4 separate sessions of 8/9 year olds, Dog Friday by Hilary McKay. The next door Robinson family are the best pack of eccentric kids since the Herdmans (Best Christmas Pageant Ever) Perry and Ant (boy/girl twins, lets not even count the stitches), Beany, so named because she wants to be a bean and Sundance, who's special, endearing , fierce and kind.

On that note, let us not forget Louis Sachar, who's crowning achievement is _There's a Boy in the Girls Bathroom_ Serious and funny. Laugh out loud on the A-train funny.

Oh and the kids are getting a big kick out of _Nasty, Stinky Sneakers_ and _ Our Sixth Grade Flour Babies_ by Eve Bunting.

Big word-of-mouth requests since my initial book talks in January.

Great discussion. Thanks Lisa
