If you don't object to buying books online, paperback of Junk by Melvin Burgess can be got from bookshop.co.uk for ?4.99. The shipping is a bit steep, but if you buy 2-3 additional paperbacks, the total shipping stays the same and cost per book will be about $10. Besides, it's a great chance to sleuth out some of those great Berlie Doherty or Jill Paton Walsh or other favorite UK authors you've been pining away for. No, I'm not a salesperson for bookshop.co.uk, I'm just a great fan of lots of UK authors.

On another note, would love to have discussion in future on Dear Genius: The Letters of Ursula Nordstrom: collected and edited by Leonard S. Marcus. You are all going to love this book. (oops it's not a children's book -but I wanted to make sure you all had a chance to be aware of it)
