I'm not exactly sure how the law works now in the days of online selling. But speaking as the company that bought the right to sell Melvin Burgess's book in America, we'd be pretty disturbed if people were buying the UK edition of Junk instead of the American edition of Smack. Of course anyone can do what he or she wants. But when you buy the right to sell a book in a certain territory, that is an exclusive right, unless otherwise specified. Smack is available at bookstores and online through the various online bookselling resources.
