Oh Silly me. I am so embarrassed. I highlighted the email of a friend in my email Address book to discuss the possibility of doing a storytime together on April 6. As I was writing in the subject line I noticed that the TO: read *bridget, ccbc-net, geri*
Oops. I must have accidentally highlighted three names instead of one. So I went to X out and start over and due to it being midnight or something, I hit SEND. Yikes! How do I get it back?? I guess I don't --so, sorry for the mysterious April 6 message with nothing but my name out there for the world to see. Now, get on with the book discussion shall we?
All of the reviews and comments I have heard about The Robber and Me made the Uncle out to be a sternly gruff man, and yet it is the schoolmaster that I would fear and that makes me upset! I can't wait for something to happen to make the world (of Graab) right again. This is where the Bible and Christianity get a bum rap--it is not the Scriptures themselves, in their truth, that creates such a grumpy group--but rather the human desire to control others with their self-righteous ways. I have not completed reading the Robber and Me, but I think I may by tomorrow and I look forward to a discussion about this book. Karen
