I must immediately confess that I have not read it, have it on my list. But - I bought a copy as a gift for my then 17 year old son Carlos and he did like it. He has to be coaxed to read usually so that's worth noting. He's now trying Buried Onions, by Gary Soto and thinks he'll like it too - and he loved Always Running by Luis Rodriguez.
