How often are children really exposed to this kind of art? I have found that I have to do some explaining about the Renaisssance when I read this to a class before they fully appreciate the art. When I mention some of the artists involved they usually think of the Ninja Turtles. This book really makes them think on a new level artistically. Gotta go - There's a class right now waiting for me talk about Rapunzel.
