I am a new subscriber and have thoroughly enjoyed the discussions of award winners. I agree that Ella Enchanted will be easy to recommend to girls looking for fantasy. I, however, found the story and characters uninteresting. The book could have been about 100 pages shorter. I was particularly put out when they found the glass slippers in a bench and there was no explanation of where they came from or why they were there. Did I miss something?
