I'd like to thank all the people who've participated in our discussion to date, especially Brenda Bowen, editor of "Out of the Dust" and all of you out there who asked and answered questions raised by the award process itself.
Please feel free to continue talking about "Out of the Dust" in this second and final week of our 1998 Newbery discussion. At this time, I'd like to invite you to begin discussing any of the three 1998 Newbery Honor Books:
"Ella Enchanted" by Gail Carson Levine (HarperCollins)
"Lily's Crossing" by Patricia Reilly Giff (Delacorte)
"Wringer" by Jerry Spinelli (HarperCollins)
What did you appreciate about any of this year's Newbery Honor Books?
