I've really enjoyed all the discussion on Spinelli's works. My students have always avidly read his books. A current favorite of theirs is CRASH. I have non-readers who have read it 8 times. I must admit I enjoyed it also. The main character, Crash, reminds me of many of the 7th and 8th grade boys I work with and I appreciated seeing him mature throughout the book.
