In response to the subject of multiple versions of a story being published, I like it! I am a pre-service teacher and I plan to use various versions of a story to compare/contrast, as well as show cultural differences where I can. Taback's version of "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly" is a great example of an old favorite with a new twist. I agree with Kathy that the presentation is "clever and slightly offbeat." That's probably what draws me to it. It's delightful!
