I reviewed "The Girl Who Dreamed Only Geese" for Alaska magazine. Although none of the stories is from Alaska, all of them have elements familiar to the locals: snow, ice, subsistence, shamanism, practicality, and the importance of family ties and the preservation of one's culture against outside interference. The Dillons' artwork is grounded in reality, yet at the same time luminous with magic possibility. I, too, thought it would make a great read-aloud, or a good find for storytellers who were looking for new inspiration. Donna Freedman Anchorage, Alaska
