I couldn't agree more with Katy Horning regarding books of death, despair and abandonment. The latter being what I seemed to find myself reading over and over especially late '96 and early in '97. As we were trying to put together booklists for YA's and chapter book readers, we were having a hard time finding some wonderful *funny* books to put in the list. Am I missing something? What are your suggestions? Karen
