I was glad to see Elizabeth's post about *Seedfolk.* With all the good buzz on it, I too was anxious to read it, then found itpretty didactic. In addition, I found the descriptions of community organizing overly simplistic, and questions of eating stuff grown on a site where god-knows-what didn't come up.
"The new society will be built on the vacant lots of the old" worked in the 60's, but seems naive now.
PS: I'm new to the list, and glad to be here.
