Artist Michael Bryant will give a free public lecture on Monday, November 10, at 7:00 p.m. in Room 4207 Helen C. White Hall (corner N. Park and Observatory), UW-Madison campus.
Metered parking is available on two levels below the building and also nearby in either the Lake St. ramp or under Grainger Hall.
Mr. Bryant's books will be sold before and after the program, and he will be available for autographing.
The new CCBC publication *Multicultural Literature for Children and Young Adults, Volume Two: 199196* has cover art by Michael Bryant from the book *Bein' with You This Way* by W. Nikola-Lisa (Lee & Low, 1994). This book will be available for sale that evening, too.
Other books illustrated by Mr. Bryant include *Treemonisha* a narrative version of Scott Joplin's opera written by Angela Shelf Medearis, *Come Sunday* poems by Nikki Grimes, *The Story of Nat Love* written by Robert Miller and *Buffalo Soldier*, also by Robert Miller.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the CCBC. Mr. Bryant will also make school appearances while he is in the Madison area.
