As a newcomer, I know I will not have the courage to write unless I "just do it"

On the home front-

Under the Blood-Red Sun by Graham Salisbury- Japanesr American boys at the beginning of US involvement set in Pearl Harbor

For the younger crowd- Baseball saved us.

The holocaust fiction that has made the strongest impression and that have been reread are: I am Rosemary Devil in Vienna When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit Number the Stars Devil's Arithmatic Set during the same period but in the Soviet Union- The Endless Steppe.by Hauztig

Most recent read- War Dog by Martin Booth a poacher's dog has been requisitioned by the British Army to serve during WW2. First as a pointer seeking out the "Hun" then back home in England searching for people trapped in buildings after bombings then in Italy.

The concern is how much do US kids actualy know about individual battles such as Dunkirk. A good read with a satisfing ending (ok happy)
