Hello, Cathy;

I have enjoyed seeing your comments the past few weeks. The library in Marquette is the first library I remember visiting. We lived on Front Street in fact--went to Gravarett--walked to the library. I remember it as being very sunny when you entered--the woodwork was glowing. I also remember the children's room being on one side. It seems to be children were not allowed in the adult areas unless accompanied by an adult. Seeing your name and title really brought back memories. Who knows? Maybe that early influence had something to do with my eventually becoming a librarian, myself. I was five years old when I first visited--in 1953. I'm sure a lot has changed there since then. Have been back to visit--but never seem to make it when the library is open. Maybe on my next trip!
