According to my younger brother, who fits your parameters, his favorite books at ten years old were Keith Robertson's Henry Reed books, Heinlein's _Farmer in the Sky_, Andre Norton's _Time Traders_, Mary Norton's _Bedknob and Broomsticks_, a fantasy called _The Ship That Flew_, and ANYTHING about Bobby Orr.
What were 10-year-old children reading in the late 1960's? I was presented with this as a reference question and would appreciate some help. I have quite a bit of anecdotal information on what girls were reading, but no reports on what boys were reading.
Have children changed? Have reading tastes changed?
