Hide and Seek

I'm glad Sharyn November mentioned "Hide and Seek" by Ida Vos. When I worked at the Madison Public Library, I knew a couple of fourth and fifth graders who were crazy about that book and they grabbed anything they saw written by Ida Vos.

I was not a big fan of "Hide and Seek" myself when it first came out but I thought the sequel "Anna Is Still Here" was outstanding. And once I'd met the kids who had found it on their own and had taken it to heart, it made me think there might be a little more to it than I had originally thought.

Does anyone else have any experience with sharing "Hide and Seek" with young readers?
