An article by Samar Assad in the "S.F. Chronicle" of 15 October, picked up from the AP wires is of interest. "Death?mp Toys Tell Chilling Story" reports on an exhibit at Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial (in Israel) which features some of the few surviving toys from the Theresienstadt Ghetto. The exhibit tells more about war, as does the book "...and I never saw another butterfly..." then volumes of books about those times.
You might see if you can find Assad's article somehwere on the WEB.
We might also pause here to wonder at those who would not allow "The Diary of a Young Girl" (Frank) and "The Upstairs Room" to be on library shelves and ask ourselves what is more obscene, a few words, a bit about sexuality, or the obscenity of war?
