After reading some comments on this, or child-Lit, I read Philip Pullman'
- and thoroughly enjoyed it. Today I finished his 2nd of the trilogy, . What a master of imagination. It is fantasy literature - with enough realism in them to help the reader "step into the story as he/she reads it. How I would like to have a daemon!!!
(although, I guess we have one like Will's!!) The second book is such a cliff-hanger that I will be "biting my nails " until the third one becomes available. I am greatly impressed and - thank those who "led me to him" as well as to many other fine YA writers. I've always enjoyed YA lit - and even at age 71 prefer it over most of the adult lit.
