Slave Day

I am reading, but not finished with, Slave Day by Rob Thomas and love it so far. I like how it is written in the voice of several students and a teacher, yet they all flow together to make a continuous story. I also think the content, especially the stuff about friends and dating and even the concept of having someone at school to push around on "slave day" would really appeal to older YA's. But I haven't gotten to the end yet, so I don't know how the actual "Slave Day" at the school turns out yet, and how much it affects race relations.
