The Subtle Knife

I, too, thought this was a real page-turner and am waiting impatiently for the third volume. However, I was upset by what happened to the aeronaut, and thought that Will's father's death was pretty contrived. I'm also daunted that Pullman would set up all of Heaven as the bad guys, and not at all convinced that Lyra's father is that much of a good guy.

Have others on this list read more things by Phillip Pullman? I understand he often does trilogies. I've enjoyed these two so much; wonder what else of his I should read.
