During the coming school year I will be teaching a college class titled
"Science Fiction and Utopian Literature," so I truly enjoyed Lynn Smith's comments about science fiction not 'dating.' What is classic, what is worth their reading and discussion time has been a question very much on my mind as I stockpile books and stories. Is Utopia (along with classics) less attainable than we would wish? [I would appreciate any comments from any of you about books in these categories you feel would 'last.'] Thank you.
