The first days of the month are good times for announcements. If you have an announcement to make, please do so at this point each month. I'll begin by repeating the discussion topics as already announced for June and July and to tell you what we'll be discussing in August. The CCBC-NET discussions during the next three months will be: 1) June - Books by Charlotte Zolotow; 2) July - Classic books: which books have stood the test of time? what is a so?lled classic, anyway? how do you choose an edition of a classic?; and 3) August - Two new young adult novels: Tenderness by Robert Cormier
(Delacorte, 1997) and The Buffalo Tree by Adam Rapp (Front Street, 1997) and when we say Young Adult, we mean it in terms of these novels!
We hope you will join us for these discussions, and we encourage you to invite your friends and co-workers to join the CCBC-Net community, as well. ... Ginny
