Cathy,
"What Jamie Saw" is a book for grades 3-6. Jamie's stepdad through Jamie's baby sister through the air and that's when mom decided to grab the kids and find someplace to live. She has no money and Jamie's life is very unstable, he has no idea what will happen next, which causes him much anxiety. I loved this book, but I would carefully read it first before introducing it to a class. Because of some language and content, there could be some opposition to the book. Hope this helps. ps. the author is: Carolyn Coman, Front Street Publishing, 1995 Kim Brown
